To Muslims, and even to some non-Muslim apologists, Islam is the only religion that has given women their due rights, equality and dignity. It can’t be otherwise: How can then Islam, as Muslims claim, be the perfect, the best and the final religion of God?

And Muslim women got due equality and rights alongside men despite the fact that;
(a) Muslim women have no individuality and independence for themselves as Allah has placed them under the charge of men, who may beat them or deal with as the wish, not vice versa [Quran 4:34];

(b) women are worth only half the men [Quran 2:282];

(c) women can inherit only half that of men (i.e. brothers inherit double that of sisters) [Quran 4:11,4:176];

Pakistan's Blasphemy Law has been used as a tool for persecution for years. Many have been thrown in prison for life or been put to death.

Where does Pakistan find its justification for such laws if not from Islam?

Mukhtar Mai is a Pakistani woman from the village of Meerwala, in the rural tehsil (county) of Jatoi of the Muzaffargarh District of Pakistan. Mukhtar Mai suffered a gang rape as a form of honour revenge, on the demands of tribesmen — or by some accounts, on the orders of a panchayat (tribal council) — of a local Mastoi Baloch clan that was richer and more powerful than Mukhtaran's clan, the Gujjar Tatla.


By custom, rural women are expected to commit suicide after such an event.[citation needed]. Instead, she spoke up, and using word of mouth, took her case to court where her rapists were arrested and charged.
She took settlement money provided to her by the government following the court case, and opened a center for refuge and education, the Mukhtar Mai Women's Welfare Organization.[1]

In April 2007, Mukhtar Mai won the North-South Prize from the Council of Europe.[2] In 2005, Glamour Magazine named her "Glamour Woman of the Year".


According to the New York Times, "Her autobiography is the No. 3 best seller in France ... movies are being made about her, and she has been praised by dignitaries like Laura Bush and the French foreign minister".


However, on April 8, 2007, the New York Times reported that Mukhtar Mai lives in fear for her life from the Pakistan government and local feudal lords.


[General Pervez Musharraf, the former president of Pakistan, has admitted on his personal blog[6] that he placed restrictions on her movement in 2005, as he was fearful that her work, and the publicity it receives, hurt the international image of Pakistan.

According to the New York Times, Mukhtar Mai, her friends, colleagues and their families are at great risk from violence by local feudal lords, and/or the government of Pakistan.

Please forgive me for quoting this derogatory remark.

I wouldn’t dare to call women in this name, not in the 21st century, when women are working with men side by side, becoming head of the state or CEO of large companies.

I am merely repeating the comment, alleged by the first jockey of Islam.

In many Islamic countries, donkey is an insulting word, which refers to a brainless idiot.

When Muhammad compared women with donkeys, he did not aim at the logo of Democratic Party of USA, he meant real donkeys.

Narrated ‘Aisha: ….. “Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people).” I said, “You have made us (i.e. women) dogs……………(Sahih Bukhari).

Bummer! Muslim women are not only donkeys they are dogs too!

Dogs are very friendly and favorite pets in the western world but it’s one of the most degraded animals in Islamic countries.

Calling someone a dog is an extremely offensive demeanor and may ignite a fistfight. It’s clear that Mohammad deliberately put down women, dogs and donkeys in the same class, with an attempt to humiliate the Muslim women.

Are these Muslim women blind, don’t they have any self-esteem?

Mohammad never had high regard of women’s intelligence.

Women are dumb and stupid, a disrespectful attitude perceived by many followers of Mohammad until today.

Muslim Men, Nightmare Marriages

Dear Faithfreedom,

Just like the other women in your website, I would like to help women interested in Muslim men to beware. I decided to share this after reading the story ‘recipe from hell’ …because that’s my story as well.

I am a Christian -Catholic lady and I met a Muslim man in university. He went after me like crazy and seemed like the perfect guy, just 2 weeks after knowing him he wanted to marry me and he seemed very serious.

We dated for 7 years while we were still in college and the relationship was very serious, he was very generous with gifts and stuff and very caring.

During the dating years he was open to my religion, he used to stay to my home even when I was not there, went to church together …everything was okay and all in my family loved him.

On the seventh year we got married in church – Catholic Church with several priests but had the reception at home and moved in together.

I loved him so much and was sure I was doing the right thing when we got married.

Since we were fresh graduates we agreed that he should go back to his Islamic country since it was difficult for him to get a job in my country and I was pregnant and we needed to be stable.
