A man has been found guilty of murdering his daughter in a so-called "honour" killing.

Mahmod Mahmod, 52, ordered the murder of 20-year-old Banaz Mahmod after finding out that she had a boyfriend. Her uncle Ari was also found guilty of murder after a trial at the Old Bailey.



Bekhal Mahmoud, the older sister of Banaz Mahmoud, speaks to the BBC's Ben Geoghegan about her sister's murder.



Sisters Amina 18 & Sarah 17 Said were shot to death by their father. They were shot to death on New Years Eve by their father Yaser Abdel Said. He is reported to have said that the girls had become too Americanized.

The sister's great aunt said that the it was an honor killing. She also said that the father had been abusing the girls for a long time, after he found out that they had boyfriends and threatened to kill them.

The FBI just classified the case as an honor killing.
